As always, the upcoming episode list is subject to change. Needing to cancel or delay an episode has happened before and even recently as Event Comics Month dipped into what was supposed to be my month off to work on HOPR, causing me to in turn push the schedule back by a week.
The 700th episode is coming this summer! Lots to do for that and I think people will really enjoy it as it’s another heavily requested one and obviously we’ve got plenty to cover until we get there.
Storyline
Someday this Godforsaken storyline will end, I promise.
But seriously, though, thank you for the patience! The next segment, the race, is VERY CGI-heavy and of course the Game Show Reviewer is just one guy who has his own life and stuff going on (including several bits in Winter of ’83 that took priority because there was a deadline). It’s why it was necessary to skip ahead last Halloween to the fight afterwards. The good news is that once the race is over, there will only be about 2 or 3 segments left and then finally – FINALLY – the Contest of Champions will be complete. There’s still a lot to do in these remaining segments, but we’re nearing the end and we can move on to another story that will not be as delayed as this one has.
Secret Project/Winter of ’83
On April Fools’ Day, I unveiled the Secret Project! It was my own Analog Horror series/movie that I concluded the same day. You can check out the full movie version HERE wherein I fixed a few technical bits that people pointed out in the individual videos. I’m really proud of it and I hope you’ll all take a gander if you haven’t already – it tells the story of strange events in a small town in Minnesota in 1983.
There have been some hopes for a sequel, and I’m certainly open to it – I have a ton of ideas I can try, but for now I’m going to be shifting my focus to a DVD release of it to shop around as an indy horror movie (with said DVD including a few more segments, a commentary track, etc.).
Longbox of the Damned 10th Anniversary
On the subject of horror, Longbox of the Damned’s 10th anniversary is this year! I’ve got several big plans for it, though sadly my hope of doing a Midsummer’s Nightmare to coincide with it is just not viable with how everything else has been going. Still, I think people are going to like the idea I have for it – not just because of the content I’ll be covering this October, but some additional things to tie into it.
In turn, I must sadly announce that I am not currently planning on running the Longbox Bumper Contest this year. I overall enjoy doing it, but it’s one more thing to manage on top of everything else and I have… other ideas instead for this year. I plan to bring it back next year, but for this year we’re going back to traditional end bumpers for the series.
It’s also possible I’ll change my mind in a few months – always leave room for that to be a possibility, but I don’t see it happening this time.
History of Power Rangers
Obviously things did not go to plan with the month off for restoring HOPR videos. For now, I’m going to continue working on the remaining ones in the background and I am currently working on the revised version of the Ninja Storm video (adding a looooot into the intro, primarily about the Hexagon stuff). There aren’t really THAT MANY left – Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, SPD, Mystic Force, and RPM. While the other ones DO still need to have some fixes made because of ContentID claims, getting Time Force and Wild Force out of the way in such a short time was great and glad people have enjoyed the revised versions of those videos (and if you haven’t seen them yet, they’re currently in their spots in the HOPR section).
As for Dino Fury, still no idea when its second season will end. When it does, I’ll figure out a specific date for the video and actually take AT4W off that week to work on it so we don’t have everything that went wrong last year with the Beast Morphers video on top of it all screwing up the schedule. As always, still haven’t seen any of it. One major spoiler got dropped on me, though fortunately not with fans telling me – just a friend accidentally tweeting about it on their own feed and I don’t expect them to necessarily be concerned with JUST me when they have other people who know and want to talk about it.
Conventions
Nothing currently to announce, though that will change if I decide to get a table at a con or get any invites.
That’s it for now! Continue to stay safe as sadly COVID is STILL a thing and we’re all still weathering a lot on any given day. Be safe, be well, and hopefully I can provide some entertainment for you all.
