Sorry this took so long to get out, but as you may have noticed, I’ve been kind of busy lately!

And if you haven’t noticed… you probably haven’t noticed the major storyline finale, shift in release time, and other stuff. It’s why you should be reading these!

Schedule of Upcoming Episodes
10/2 – A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Beginning #1-2
10/9 – A Nightmare on Elm Street: Fearbook
10/16 – New Line Cinema’s Tales of Horror #1
10/23 – Sensational Spider-Man #0
10/30 – Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash
11/6 – Marvel Comics #1 (Namor)
11/13 – No new episode. Taking a break.
11/20 – Brave and the Bold #28 (Justice League)
11/27 – PATREON: Kamen Rider Fourze Episodes 1-4

As always, the schedule is subject to change for whatever reason, but this list is pretty much locked in. As you may have noticed, things are slightly different this year in November. Secret Origins Month is actually Secret Origins two weeks. There are two reasons for this – the first is that a Patreon-sponsor’s requested time slot was either November… or they’d have to wait until 2018, since October and December are locked in. They elected to have their episode be the last week of November. The second is pretty much WHY I was willing to sacrifice a slot in November – because we weren’t going to be doing four episodes, anyway. I am taking my first ever proper vacation from the show that week.

If you’re wondering why I’m covering Justice League before I cover a lot of characters like Black Canary or Martian Manhunter, that should be pretty obvious: because they’re not in the Justice League movie and this will be my only real chance to capitalize on the movie because it comes out three days before the review. We’ll probably get back to them at some future point, but there you go.

Patreon Restrictions?
In case you hadn’t heard, Patreon-sponsored reviews are going to be closed temporarily for a few months. It is of course not permanent and the full details can be read HERE. More or less there have been too many requests coming in and with certain months locked in, I may not get to them for over half a year away, so we’re playing catch-up.

That being said, there is another important question concerning future Patreon-sponsored reviews. Many times in the past people have complained about Patreon-sponsored reviews – not that they exist, but rather that so many people take the opportunity to have me review things OTHER than comics on the comic book review show. We’ve gone a few years now of Patreon-sponsored episodes and here’s the breakdown:

Of the 38 Patreon-sponsored episodes, 24 have been comics and have been 14 non-comics in some form including video games, visual novels, TV shows, movies, and audio dramas. So more often than not, it IS comics and the upcoming selection of Patreon-sponsored episodes coming in the next few months includes 1 TV show appearance and 3 comics, so it’s not as if they’re overwhelming the selection. Still, we’ve given them a fair shake and I want to finally start asking: do people want me to continue letting non-comics appear on the show or would they prefer I add a rule saying it HAS to be comics?

Longbox of the Damned
Longbox of the Damned is underway! People seem to be enjoying it and the bumper contest for this year, so thanks for all your support! I’m trying my best to make sure we don’t have a repeat of last year where stuff ended up being so late.

One of the things I had hoped to do this year in the lead-up to Longbox was a Top 15 Favorite Tales from the Crypt episode of A Quick Look At. I still hope to do it at some point this October, but it’s a low priority. It didn’t end up happening because of the storyline finale and trying to get Longbox stuff finished. If I can find some free time to finish writing it and make it, it’ll happen. Otherwise maybe in the coming months.

History of Power Rangers
Half of History of Power Rangers is still unavailable. I am working on restoring it as fast as I can, but it’s not a priority when I have new content that needs to be put out. If you see anyone asking about it, please remind them that they were taken down by ContentID on VidMe and they WILL be restored eventually.

Otherwise, the current plan is work on the revised History of Power Rangers for In Space and release that in December. Ninja Steel is still going on, so no current release date for that. Since I STILL get questions about this: no, there will be no History of Power Rangers on the 2017 movie. History of Power Rangers is focused exclusively on the TV show. Turbo was covered because it had plot points that affected the TV show, but neither the first movie nor the 2017 movie are in-continuity. I did a Midnight Screenings video on it with Brad Jones back in March when it came out, which you can find HERE.

Let’s Play Pokémon Omicron
There will be no stream during this time period. It’s not because I don’t WANT to stream… but rather I have too much on my plate during these months to do what I WANT to do. The simple fact is that the next Pokémon Omicron stream is likely going to be my last. This game has been going on for three years and we’re STILL behind on posting up videos of it. As of the last stream, we’ve made it through Victory Road and the Elite 4 is next. I know that Omicron apparently has another region to it… and I can’t be bothered right now. Perhaps we’ll revisit it in the future, but I’ve been talking for a long while about getting into other gaming content and it’s time for Omicron to take a rest, so the Elite 4 will be the final challenge. I’d certainly like to make a big production, do a big stream with multiple people there talking and strategizing and having a blast, but that will be the end of it for a while.

Conventions
Youmacon – I will be attending Youmacon yet again this year on November 2nd through the 5th at the Cobo Center and Renaissance Center! I’ll probably be spending most of my time in the Dealers’ Hall with plenty of merch, including T-shirts and the latest DVD!

That’s it for now, feel free to provide any feedback or comments that you might have!
